My life has been a series of changing expectations as long as I can remember. Recently I lost someone that means more to me than I realized. It has made me appreciate the few people that I am close to even more and has caused me to reflect a bit on the nature of our mortality. My father passed away last week and I did not think it would affect me so badly until I saw his lifeless body laying in the hospital bed in his bedroom of my house that he had been unable to rise from for the previous two weeks. After a strict upbringing and years of emotional turmoil because he disapproved of my marriage, I thought that I would be OK with him leaving. I wasn't. Near the end of his life I began to understand a bit more about him. I miss him so very much. Sorry for the gloom.

Have you ever faced a single event that caused you a momentous paradigm shift?

I've had at least two, maybe more: one sometime in either 2012 or 2013, and another in the latter half of 2016.

I'm going to work on writing a few emails to potential service providers and watch TV and listen to music and maybe draw a little.

i used it for several projects in a design class i took in high school. haven't touched it since. i mostly use gimp which is free photoshop without all the bells and whistles 99% of people never use.
