hi, I didn't read the entire thread, so forgive me if I repeat something. I just wanted to say that it seems the two lists of symptoms are quite divergent. Maybe some people could be both Aspie and Indigo child, but it wouldn't follow that all are.

anyway, I respect how someone wants to classify themselves, or not, as the case may be. I don't really relate to the IC symptoms myself, but I don't have a problem if others here do.

I find it totally offensive. The Indigo child theory classifies and ranks people by color. And also argues for the existence of a superior race or type of human being to represent a superior degree of evolution above all other groups of human beings.

The whole notion of Indigo Children seems to have shades of nazism thrown in with some hippy dippy new age philosophy.

her description of Indigo child said to me thats its a person who had parents who never taught him to share, respect, behave! and now he is all grown up and bahving the same way and thinking that he/she can slap a label on it and it becomes ok... Aspie children/adults never behave as she described unless they have parents who never taught them lifes lessons.. I know that Aspie's have little or no social skills but as they get older they cope and knw what is acceptable and what is not.. Indgo children never seem to think any of this. sounds like a kid who needed a spanking in the worst way when he was a little kid...

Seems just like an over-positive stance on Asperger/PDD when tied with giftedness (thrown in with a few new age quirks). Prob. nice to read but more than likely in a library would come under section of fairy stories, I do believe.

This article makes Indigo Children sound like they will become are overloads.

It makes for good science fiction. Actually I've sort got my own character that matches IC traits but he's an alien.

But yeah, it's all bollocks to me.

Personally, I call myself a Time Lord but I'm still living in reality and I know I'm just a simple stunted ape (human).

I think indigo children is a load of bull, or other beliefs to do with auras and other psychic stuff. I like some of the imagery and symbolism of it but actually believing all that just seems silly.

I propose a new category: Fuschia Children.

Fuschia Children are those whose personality traits and history are just like mine, give or take a little. I am the poster Fuschia Child, a template for all the others to come. The cause of these personality traits is that I come from an alternate, but "higher" dimension, say the twenty-fourth dimension to be exact. The twenty-fourth dimension is populated by beings who, though appearing to be somewhat dysfunctional humans, are actually more highly evolved beings. Therefore I am the founding member of a superior race, a race of Fuschias. We will soon take over the Earth and displace you mere humans and Indigos.

Please do not mock my theory, because that would make you narrow-minded. I have the right to label myself more highly-evolved than all the rest of you and it is rude to contradict me. It also has the handy side-effect of making all my supposedly dysfunctional traits become superior ones that you simply do not understand because of your spiritual limitations. No wonder I've never gotten along with any of you: you're beneath me.

So, all of you who have no friends, do not despair of it: it's a symptom of being Fuschia, like me, and indicates a special overly-evolved perfection in your personality. We Fuschias herald the coming of the New Age!
