Hello everyone! was wondering if their where others like me on this forum ,making a living from either music or a aspergers related talent ... I make a living doing live electronic music , basically like a DJ but i make all the music myself and perform it live using a mixture of software and hardware making tracks as i go from all the individual elements that i make as loops and then trigger... the DJs and even other producers are completely baffled by what i do with all my machines with flashing lights and buttons for me its completely natural. i started getting interested in music technology at the age of 8 ... I love my job and now i am sure i am an aspie it makes a lot of sense ...

I'm in school studying psychology and biomedical engineering, with an aim to become a human factors engineer/research psychologist. Those are some of my special interests. I guess that counts...

That sounds cool that you are earning a living from music making. Hope you continue to do so. I earnt money from being a software engineer for years and I was very good at it because of my AS. I am now trying to make a living through writing and I think that is also because of my AS.

Although not all software engineers and writers have AS.

I have a talent for game design, and I want to be a professional game developer. I wish school would just get out of my way so I could pursue my interest, or at least teach stuff that would help me become a better game designer and help make it into a living.

But what if you got paid for irritating the hell out of NTs, could be some good money there.

You could make people pay you not to irritate the hell out of them. But it should be like a subscription type thing. = P

I don't see how I could, as I don't have any talents. :(

And yet once you come to appreciate it as an acceptable source of entertainment it has endless possibilities ;)

I've written 7 books, and they're being sold all over the world, and that's been rather useful. I'm not rich and/or famous yet, but things are moving (albeit slowly) in the right direction.

I also do a lot of editing and proofreading for other people. You'd be surprised how much people are willing to pay you to edit something, once you've had a few books of your own published.

My brain has the ability to see patterns, to proccess and manipulate a large amount of data. It comes in rather handy as a telecommunications engineer designing fiber optic networks.
