Could the rewiring in our brains take the form of the reward/pleasure system being wired to itself? After all, Aspies/Auties seem take great pleasure in thought, and thus, it would be a self perpetuating cycle until the levels of neurotransmitters are depleted to the point that they cant feed it any more, producing autistic traits?

Just a theory I'm toying with. Any/all comments welcome

When you talk about "wiring", it's not "wired" the way that you could see it on the brain itself. It's the neurotransmitters that are taking another direction than in an NT brain. But it's possible, yes.
