There's a song about autism by the German band Pur. It's about Birger Sellin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birger_Sellin) actually, a non-verbal autistic who wrote an autobiography. The made-up words in the song (appearing especially in the last part) are taken directly from his book.
I'm just going to post an English translation which I tried to make here:
Pur- I want to get out of here
He already babbled words
The way little people do.
Everything seemed alright and healthy.
Yet when not even two years old
His language remained silent,
Seemingly without reason.
And he screamed a lot and tantrumed,
Then withdrew far into himself.
And after a wrong diagnosis
And helplessness
Only one answer was left:
“Likely insane.”
Ref.: Lonely, sad,
Man inside a box,
Buried alive.
A creature made of stone
Which keeps me imprisoned
In the dungeon.
He played with the marbles
And he liked to sit under the table
So that for a long time a lot stayed undiscovered
Until after years one day
A new therapy showed
What's going on inside him.
And he writes on the computer
And he writes with his hand resting on his mother's
He writes in his own language
Fights with his words and mind
Against the walls of his prison.
[Ref.]
Where is the way into the important world?
I want to get out of here
Out of the world of boxes
Into the confusing world
I don't want to be a inside-me anymore
Clods of earth rampanting on my soul
Anxietyrestknocking mindattack
Chaotic thoughts
Autistic shell
Withoutmebeing and raw figure
Isolation confinement
In an obsessive way
Am I a slave to the wonderfearpower?
I want to get out of here
Understand me
Grasp me
And do love me
I don't want to be a inside-me anymore
I want to get out of here...

How about John Lennon's "The Fool on the Hill"
Day after day,
Alone on the hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool,
And he never gives an answer,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning 'round.
Well on the way head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices is talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make,
And he never seems to notice,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning 'round.
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do.
And he never shows his feelings,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning 'round.
woah ooh,
Round and round and round.
He never listens to them,
He knows that they're the fool
They don't like him,
The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning 'round.
"How soon is now" really hits me hard. It's supposed to be about being gay, but I think it equally applies to being Aspie.

Anyone know of any other songs that deal with autism or aspergers?
I love Solitary Shell, your right, it doesn't describe typical symptoms too accurately but I can still relate to it.

By Dream Theater:
Don't
Tell me what's in
Tell me how to write
Don't tell me how to win
This fight
Isn't your life
It isn't your right
To take the only thing that's
Mine
Proven over time
It's over your head
Don't try to read between the
Lines
Are clearly defined
Never lose sight of
Something you believe in
Takin' in the view from the outside
Feeling like the underdog
Watching through the window I'm on the outside
Living like the underdog
I've been trying to justify you
In the end I will just defy you
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fit your plan, Take me as I am
As I am
Still
Running uphill
Swimming against the current
I wish I weren't so
f****d
Feels like I'm stuck
Lost in a sea of mediocrity
''Slow down,
You're thinking too much
Where is your soul?''
You cannot touch
The way I
Play
Or tell me what to say
You're in the way
Of all that I believe in
Takin' in the view from the outside
Feeling like the underdog
Watching through the window I'm on the outside
Living like the underdog
I've been wasting my breath on you
Open minds will descend upon you
To those who understand, I extend my hand
To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am
Not under your command, I know where I stand
I won't change to fit your plan, take me as I am
Am like the part that also C+Ped into signature-it reminds am of the need for understanding autists, autism awareness and the common spectrum wide hate against a cure.
Forgot to say,it isn't specifically about autism or aspergers, but it seems like it.

Gotta agree with Juggernaut there. Have a hard time believing John Lennon and a few others referenced here would have the faintest understanding of what AS is about. Someone here mentioned Dream Theater's "Solitary Shell" as a candidate. Take a look at the lyrics to "My Glass Prison" (which doesn't properly express itself as a written script), and consider that this - along with similar songs in their repertoire - might actually be written about AS.

Well, Tony Attwood believes that Lennon was definitely NOT an NT, if you get what I'm saying...
