Strange gesturing

Does anyone else gesture strangely while talking? Basically when I talk to emphasize a point I am trying to make, it turns into a repetitive hand movement. My therapist pointed this out.

I used to do this a lot more in the past.

I first became aware of it when one or two of the more mischievous pupils in the classes I taught began to mimic the gesture!

My husband mimics my movements too. He also finds it funny I freak out at light touch. But try to explain AS to him and he doesn't understand.
