Is there a link between autism spectrum disorders and chronic pain such as headaches and stomach aches? Generally if I go without eating for more than a few hours I will feel ill, and I regularly (multiple times a year) suffer intense headaches, especially following a cold.

I've heard that autistic people are more likely to suffer migraines than the general population.

I'm not sure if it's common, but I've not always been in pain. I didn't get my first migraine until I was ten, though I do think I've always had stomach type pain issues. I have no idea about the rest of my family. Might have to ask them.
I'm interested in what others have to say on the matter.

I get about 12 migraines a year on average and suffer from a whole host of GI issues (specialist diagnosed gluten intolerance - likely celiac, doctor diagnosed milk intolerance).

I often seem to suffer from various types of chronic pain and have taken a lot of Tylenol over the years as a result.

:(

I used to get migraines a lot when I was a kid. but I think that may have been more caused by my not managing my caffeine intake then having autism.
