Yes, I prefer to believe in a Lord who is proficient at Malteaser manipulation.

I don't like being stuck near young ids either but just bring ear defenders!

Its not fun but, they're kids (or babies). They're not being obnoxious or annoying on purpose, thats how kids are!

Bring ear defenders or good headphones and listen to some music.

Its just a few hours (or less, depending on your flight).

You can get a seat in the front of the plane, as many families are in the back.

Bottom line: They're kids, bring ear defenders/headphones and don't be a dick to the kids (or the parents if they are trying to get the kid to behave).

You could always ask to sit in the jump seats.
I've heard they let people do that sometimes.

It's an admirable quality and quite frankly a life skill , they should teach it in schools.
