After reading this it made me think wether he could have Aspergers? He has never been much of an interviewee, IMO. He also has quite an odd personality and also had a meltdown on David Letterman in 2009 when he annouced he was retiring from acting to be a rapper; (though I think this was more of a joke than anything).
He has also talked about suffering from anxiety on film sets too:

It is often said that people with Aspergers make 'great' actors; possibly due to the fact that they are great at faking social skills which Dr. Tony Attwood acknowledges in his 2014 book
