I wanted to thank all those who viewed and responded to my earlier email. I also want to let everyone know where we are in the process. The county prosecuter is steadfast in his intent to pursue charges against my son. The juvenile officer for the county will still work with the other prosecuter in that office to see what can be done. We spoke to an attorney here in Kansas who specializes in Autism/Asperger's and other special education cases. He could not believe that the school and county were going to pursue this case. He nearly flipped when we told him that the prosecuter in our case, is a member of the group that represents the school district. There could be no clearer case of "Conflict of Interest" that I know! Anyway, things are moving along rather slowly, as they usually do in this sort of circumstance. I will try to let you know what happens. Thanks to all for your support.
