I completely and utterly have to be the whimsical person I know. Everything I do or have is aquired on spare of the moment thinking or impulse emotions and its ruining my life!! !
I understand its down to my executive dysfunction and thats ok, but I can never save or do the right thing for the long term.
I have help and support for this but sometimes like at the moment I just want to scream my head off!! !!
Aaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh!! !
Anyone else get like this?
Thanks for helping me let it out :D

Sounds great.
Keep sharing your bright spirit.
I have learned (and keep learning ) to just use this on stage.

It does come out in my regular day gig as Joy.

If there is one word that really sums me up it would have to be whimsical.

Whimsical basically means to be playful or not serious. To use it in the context that I have is to say that I am unable to manage things in a serious manner or with any kind of plan.

To be honest Mr Laugh, sometimes it is great, kind of like having the perfect excuse for never having to take responsibility or do anything grown up!!...(awesome :D :D )
But at times it does make me feel soooooooo left out, I've spent the past forty years watching everyone around me live life at a pace that I cannot understand...
Still had a good life though  8)

I definetly have the over analytical crabby side that gets me stuck.

Other times I
A. make up songs both at home and at work(regular not gigs)
B. make jokes and puns that others and sometimes just me laughs at
C. Make realistic bird calls

Last night at a gig someone said they liked to Gallup (like a horse not the pole) so we galluped and a few joined us for a lap and then we had oats. .. Not wheat.

This thread is helping me put my whimsy on.

Danke.

Very whimsical and childlike, balanced out by the equally bitchy/analytical side similar to what drlaugh mentioned. I can be a very confusing thirtysomething for some, but I've managed to turn these traits and my literal thinking into a style of humor most people really like.

Yeah that sounds similar to me, except my literal side and whimsical side are constantly fighting with each other. Makes it all very hard to stay grounded.
Glad you have found balance :)

What the op is describing sounds very ADHD. ADHDers are often very impulsive, including impulsive financially.

I'm very into Tolkien and art of that nature and I see it as a good thing that stops me from going mad.

Ya I tend not to take things seriously, I guess I am just too "playful".

My "Un -Whimsical" aka meltdowns used to come when I took myself too seriously.
