The pronunciation of Aspergers

Yeeah. I always pronounce it "au-spur-jurs" in my head. But where I live (US), it's unfortunately pronounced like "ass-burgers". xD I usually just say Aspie to avoid it. :P

Forvo has a German's pronunciation of Asperger right at the bottom of the relevant page. I'm not allowed to create a direct route to that page from here as I haven't made enough posts on WrongPlanet yet.

There's also a separate page with a different German pronouncing "Hans Asperger".

Forvo is a really nice resource and if you register you can then pronounce requested words in your own language to help others.
