I wish it was that clean a break; if anything I probably am mostly NT but what I do have in terms of aspie traits are probably the most salient points, at least in terms of outbound communication (especially in the expressive and nonverbal department).

Have you ever looked into nonverbal learning disorder (NLD)? It has the right-brain issues of Asperger's but is not on the autism spectrum.

http://www.nldline.com/

There may also be other learning disabilities to account for your quirks.
http://www.ldonline.org/abcs_info/articles-info.html

I had a friend with NLD and ADD in college. I really clicked with her. Having got uneven scores on a childhood IQ test and encountered another NLDer on a personality board with personality traits similar to my own, I wondered if I could have an extremely mild or partial case, but I don't. ADD is the only clinically named brain quirk I've ever been diagnosed with or otherwise known to have.

I took the test a few days ago and got 140.

My Enneagram results were: "Your main type is Type 5. Fives feel ambivalent about the world consequently their mind is usually their best friend. Gifted in analysis and making sense of things, perception and invention come naturally. Their inner world can become a hideaway from the real one.

"Your variant is self pres. Overall, you score highest on withdrawn traits, followed by compliant traits, and lowest on assertive traits."

A good AS test would be like the Monty Python skit where a man (John Cleese) rings a little bell without any explanation. Just watching the skit made me want to bug-out.

As for this test I think it could have been designed better. The primary problem is that it is all too clear what answers a person with AS would choose. Someone who already thinks they have AS or wants a diagnosis may skew the results. There are some questions to try to offset this, but they're far too obvious.

Over the versions, my results have been (AS score; can't remember NT scores)
136, 140, 145, 155, 152, 152. 136 was on version I, 140 and 145 on version II, and the others on version III. I think the rise in score also is related to becoming more aware of the fact that what I thought was 'normal' isn't, and realising that I do certain things more than 'normal' people and therefore don't think 'yes, but only as much as everyone else.'

Wow! I never knew this topic had legs :)

It seems that my score of 122 seems relatively low on this board. It's interesting -- many of my friends tell me that they aren't entirely sure I'm an Aspie. They claim that unless they know what to look for, I look relatively normal. I'm not exactly adept socially, but that's not unusual among engineers. I could very well be in the region where Asperger's starts shading into NT.

Incidentally, my Enneagram type priority list was something like 5/6/1/9/4. That's remarkably like some of the other people here (5/9/1/4/6, 5/6/1/4/3...)
