ASD, AS, DSM, ES, BAPQ, BAP, AQ, (EQ - SQ-R), EIQ, HSP, HFA!

There are probably hundreds of these little abbreviations knocking around the forums, but does anyone actually know what they mean because they puzzle the hell out of me

Anyone got a glossary to hand?

I might get some wrong but here's my best guess

ASD Autism Spectrum Disorder
AS Asperger Syndrome
DSM Diagnostic Statistical Manual ?
ES - .... no idea
BAPQ - broad autism (something) questionnaire
BAP - as above
AQ - (EQ - SQ)Autism Quotient (Emotion Quotient, Social Quotient-R?)
EIQ - Emotional Intellect Quotient?
HSP - Highly Sensative People
HFA - High Functioning Autism

I'm sure someone will know it more accurately, but it was fun trying

BAP is basal autistic phenotype which is someone with traits of autism but does not have autism. This is usually the case of a parent of someone with autism but who knows if it's not someone on the mild end who's learned a lot of coping mechanisms. Anyway that's what it means.

PDD-NOS always confuses me. Even if somebody tells me what it is, it goes out of my head again. I'm going to have to write it down on a piece of paper and put it in front of my computer so I can remember it.
