I have the Jello Biafra Spoken Word Album with Names for Bands on it ("Normally, this would be the job of the band itself, but here we are, brought up by television to be spectators..."). Awesome.

Ends with the album "Lest We Forget" by 6 million Jews. :o

Fake Dyed Colours

I got the idea on yet another Friday night of my Dad ordering food because he couldn't be bothered to cook it himself. The colours of all the indian sauces seemd so...colourful, I knew they had to be fake and dyed...and that's when that phrase came into my mind.

Don´t mean to rain on your parade but there was a '90s band called Quix*o*tic.
Maybe you should take it as acompliment, that some band actually chose this as their name.

Something that´s always bothered me is "funny" and "witty" travesties of famous band names. But to play the devil´s advocate I will now produce a few.

The Rolling Stoners
The Beat-Less
The Thirteenth Floor Mastubators
The Pelvis Underground
Iggy Pope
Daft Work
Depress Mode
My Donna
Nerdvana
The Chemical Prophets
Fake That
B J Harpy
The Stone Poseurs
The Manic Meat Beaters

...and thats it for now. Gotta get some sleep. Sorry 'bout the lame sex jokes, I´m just too tired for sensible thoughts.

8) It's probably difficult to find a one word name that's never been taken before.

FWIW: I think Quixotic, Witty Kitty and Mor*Ass are awesome names -- though I didn't know Quixotic was already in-use, either. :o
