She will come creeping out of his T.V. When he least expects it!

Which would be any time, because you know... just when do you expect that to happen?

Having just watched the two Mirrors movies, I'd say to be careful around mirrors too.

Dear Krabo,

Between 1992 and 1994, Norwegian black metal musician Varg Vikerness burnt down 5 Stavekirks.
As a practicing pagan, he was offended that Christian churches were on Norse holy ground.
So this gave him the right to destroy unique architecture and beauty, that only exist in Scandinavia. One, Fantoft, was rebuilt.

All I can say is that most obviously Varg Vikernes was misguided. His claim that those Christian churches were on Norse holy ground, is a subjective opinion. His offendedness does not make the ground holy per se. Of course, I admit that my counter-claim fares no better in the ears of any pagan.

However, dearest Sylkat, I am convinced you are no pagan.

Somehow I am visualizing a large crab singing in the choir of his local Stavekirk.

If Finland has Stavekirks.

If Stavekirks have choirs.

What exactly does a singing crab sound like?

Actually i don't think Finland has stavkirker (stave churches). At least not to my knowledge. (Enlighten us, Krabo?)

On the subject of crabs and churches... In one of my fave books from my childhood (Ruffen og den flyvende hollender; Ruffen and the flying Dutchman), Ruffen the young sea serpent hears the story about the flying Dutchman and leaves his home to try to find him. On his journey he encounters (among a plethora of other things) a church that sank into the ocean, where a an old crab is priest. It was just barely mentioned, but it's impossible to not see some likeness here...

No stavkirker in Finland, they are typically Norwegian. However, we have Russian tshasouna which are common in the Eastern part of the country.

You didn't specifically ask for one first: you were just going to Google it!

If we have no original, can we send you an Ikea version? :D

They sure look cozy and somewhat exotic. I had no idea something like that existed just a national border away.

That's because they are used as border toll booths. Russia is a strange country.

Those tsashouna in Russia and Finland were built when timber cost money. Woodwork was not common, poor people gathered money. That's why they are small and look the way they do.
