German marches, Hogan's Heroes, Sgt. Schultz and beautiful buildings. I also think of the colours, green and brown.

In the 1960s, they had many good rock-n-roll sorts of shows--one example being "Beat Club." Far more advanced than something like Bandstand.

You can watch early Jimi Hendrix on YouTube in one of those shows.

A German named Astrid was the primary impetus behind the "Beatle Haircut."
