I never completed it, as I finally got to move into a full-time job, but when I was with the State as the Advocacy Specialist I did the PIP. I see it as good as far as introducing someone into advocacy and networking, and it is always good to know those who came before us, but I also found it to be redundant. Things I already knew. If you are just starting out as an Advocate it will give you the opportunity to network with others and help you learn the ins and outs, if not, if you are looking to get involved with a group I would highly look into the Autism Self-Advocacy Network.
