Daniel Reed, 23, from Bognor, suffers Asperger’s syndrome, and has been praised for his 'beautiful' portrayal of what it is like to have the condition.

'Life On The Spectrum' reached 75,000 views in just six days after being released on Sep
"I wrote it one day in March 2016 when I was feeling very low in self-esteem", explained Daniel.

"The inspiration for the song was the struggles in my life, especially in my teenage years, growing up in secondary school and not being able form relationships in the same way as my peers.

"I was singled out a lot of the time and I felt like a social outcast, but since going to university I've been able to connect more with people and they have been more accepting.

"But there are days when I feel like a social outcast, I don't think that feeling can go away, but it can feel less and less as I make more music.

"I feel music is my strongest way to connect and communicate with people."

“My autism is not a superpower. It also isn’t some kind of god-forsaken, endless fountain of suffering inflicted on my family. It’s just part of who I am as a person”. - Sara Luterman
