Yeah I wish more people would take their physical health more seriously. Kind of ironic how not ready the world is for change considering what just happened with that female comedians youtube channel being shut down because of she was "fat shaming". My father actually just got diagnosed with diabetes and he's being really stupid about making lifestyle changes. I really hope he starts taking it more seriously.

Those spots won't change anything because the folks like myself they're supposed to be targeted at are immediately off to the kitchen getting snacks as soon as the TV programmes go into a commercial brake. Might as well go to black/dead air.

Besides, I believe I'm better dead than dieting!

It's uplifting to see how much you value your life. Anyways, the commercials are about living healthfully, not dieting.

I value happiness over longevity. Most of THEIR implied lifestyle changes would make me suicidal.

I suppose that's how people differ. My happiness is dependent on my longevity.

I don't understand the mentality of eating either greasy, salty crap or anything that contains sugar. It is so much better and healthier to eat well. But unfortunately, our society pushes easy, conveniently obtained garbage.

It ranges from matters of taste to food addiction.

I hope my mother does not die from her junk food diet and obesity. I would be lost without her in my life.

The first one is quite gross.

Some of it tastes pretty good, and the human body has evolved to crave fats, salts, and sugars. Unfortunately, we no longer live in the stone age, so we can consume large amounts of those things on a more regular basis, and as they say, too much of a good thing can be bad. :P
