I've come to the conclusion that there are two types of "stupid".

One is what I would call "blonde-twat" stupid (I can't think of a better name except maybe "slacker"). Think London Tipton from Suite Life of Zack and Cody or the characters from the movie Idiocracy.

The other is what I would give a name other than "stupid" because it doesn't describe it well. I would rather call it "being inhibited" (I hope I'm not being too offensive. I feel like I'm sounding prejudiced). Think of those with Down Syndrome and MR (I'm not calling them dumb or trying to be discriminatory, I just can't really find a better way to phrase it). These are the type of individuals that try, yet still get picked on. (For some reason, this makes me think of the humans from the first installment of Planet of the Apes, I don't know why)

Has anyone else noticed this difference?

I think that you are very (I repeat) very arrogant. Arrogance and the notion that you are more intelligent and therefore better than others is one of the worst forms of stupidity.

Well played. Thanks for stopping me in my tracks (I'm not intending to sound sarcastic, I'm actually happy you stood up to me)

I seem to notice various different sense of the word.

  • Ignorant of some piece of information a said person regards as common or requisite knowledge in a given context.
  • Failing to adapt to a particular environment.
  • Showing a poor ability, even after trying with considerable effort, in a given area that would be abtly explained by scoring low on an IQ test, i.e. having deep, structural problems in the brain with processing information compared to the average person.

As someone with a very uneven profile of cognitive abilities on any IQ test I've taken, I'm personally uncomfortable with generalizing on an individual's intellect based on specific failings.
