I used to be depressed. Now I just have a poetic, philosophical personality and like punk rock culture. I think that the personality traits that led to depression have diminished into healthy, redeeming qualities—now I’m just a healthy person with slight emo tendencies. In fact, I often feel the opposite of depressed—very inspired and creative. Has anyone else had this type of personality change happen after recovering from depression?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've gotten more creative since I got out of the depression. Art is my special interest, so I was doing creative stuff even when I was depressed. But now I feel like I get more and better ideas (not only related to art) am definitely more inspired, and I pursue my painting with even greater passion now. I never don't feel like painting, as I sometimes used to when I was depressed.
