I don't listen to 'world music' per say, I listen to a lot of metal and rock some of which is quite foreign. There is metal from all over the world much of it is in other languages. I listen to quite a lot of something called folk metal which is basically folk music of a given area combined with metal. Quite a lot is specifically Scandinavian especially viking metal, but its not limited to that region.

To give an example of this folk metal:

from Hungary

From Finland

From Denmark


But yeah sometimes its more mixed with heavy metal and other times more extreme styles of metal. I know not everyone would like it but I think its pretty great. But yes I would enjoy that kind of music without the metal infused into it as well.
