I find country annoying when all they ever sing about is being separated from their significant other.
I hate snap music because they all act like a gorilla who just fell down a hole

Mainstream pop, electronic music, and experimental music.

When I say mainstream pop, I am effectively giving a "blanket" term for all of the styles of mainstream pop from about 2006 onward, since I would recognize the names of the mainstream bands of that era, from hearing about them at high school or college. Essentially, anything from Soulja Boy to Ke$ha to Taylor Swift and anything in between.

My issue with hating "country" music is that it's a huge genre. There's been a bevy great underground alt-country/americana stuff in the past two decades. Also, lots of the early country, like Jimmie Rodgers, is amazing. But if we look at what people call "country" now, it's nothing like what's been called country in the past. Just soft rock with cowboy hats, as someone described it previously - it's about accurate.

Death metal and any of its iterations.
Country (all of in no exceptions.)
Gangsta Rap( I know there is actually good rap out there but this mainstream genre pulls the good stuff through the mud)

Everything in this thread is an opinion. I just wanted to create a little balance.

I personally do not like modern country and modern rap. Their classical counter parts are good but the more recent ones are very stereotypical in what they say or how they are performed.

rap and praise and worship gag me.

rap is just talking with music, and praise and worship is just a wasted song, can't use it for music videos, can't bare to listen, and it's basicly stolen from the bible how original.

but i like almost every other genre or well i have a song in almost every other genre.

Mostly what others have said; I hate rap and country. But country is in the lead as all-time worst because I actually like one rap song: Gangsta's Paradise (I also like Weird Al Yankovic's version of it: Amish Paradise).

As for the best: the earlier you go the better it gets, with Baroque music occupying the peak of humans's musical accomplishments.

I do not argue this, however, I cannot stand the awful sound of the harpsichord and that is why I mentioned it as a music genre I can't stand.

Modern country and pop. If I listen to anything that is pop-ish, well, a lot of stuff people today consider as "pop-rock" is just simply pop.

(Check the bottom line of my sig, now that is pure and real pop-rock!!)

Also I consider those JoBlow Brothers to be among my worst enemies.
