What a nice thread. :)

Dickon Hinchcliffe was the violinist and arranger for Tindersticks, a band who've always had a cinematic sweep to their music (and did a few scores themselves). He does scores on his own now. This is from the excellent Winter's Bone:

There was a longer video up mixing some of the pieces, but sadly it seems to have disappeared. I grabbed an MP3 conversion of it, though, so might put it back up myself if I can get my kids to show me how to make a video...

This is from Out Of The Furnace, which I probably ought to see someday:

Glad you like, Hopper! ^Those tracks are exquisite. I am unfamiliar with Dickon Hinchcliffe and Tindersticks, so I appreciate the introduction and will be looking up, both. Would be nice to hear the contents of the video you made reference to, if you're able to post it_

I always thought this was a great soundtrack for such a b-grade (and that's being generous) movie:

Was about to post this in the 'What are you listening to this very second' thread, but it suddenly dawned on me that it's in, at least 1 John Hughes film. Can't recall which one(s), however.
