I've read "The Mothman Prophecies" at least 5 times. It fascinates me more each time.

I am obsessed with Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange (granted the movie is one of my favorites..) but reading the book makes it worthwhile.

I love that book too. I think it's the only time a book and a movie complemented one another. As for the other books in the series, well, if you haven't read them don't bother. I think Clarke just needed the money

Well, 2010 is actually ok, and the movie was definately underrated. But 2061 and 3001 are pretty laughable in comparison to 2001. I think when he wrote those books science fiction was moving away from classic space exploration themes to post Apocalyptic cyber space themes. People were more interested in what the Internet had to offer rather than space exploration. Clarke tried to merge these two themes into 2061 and 3001, but it just didn't work for me. Time's Eye and Sunstorm, on the other hand, are great. He wrote them with Stephen Baxter and I think they merge the two genres perfectly. Anyway, enjoy 2010!
