Just got good kid m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar, and Surf's Up by The Beach Boys. I have an order on Amazon for the Talk Talk albums Laughing Stock and Spirit of Eden that should be coming in a few days. If I had a turntable, I'd get them in vinyl, but alas...

Not exactly a purchase, but I found a box of cassettes someone threw out a couple years ago. I was looking through some to see if I wanted to ebay some. I decided to play them to see if they still, you know, played reasonably well.

Anyway, one I'm definitely NOT selling is

Swervedriver - Raise

Marilyn Manson- Lest We Forget

I became aware of him in my early teens, I liked his music but never got around to buying any of his albums for some reason. The lyrics to 'The Fight Song' made me start to question my christian upbringing and eventually reject it. When you're a 13 year old misfit and you hear "I'm not a slave, to a god that doesn't exist! to a world that doesn't give a sh*t" you connect to that! I was drawn to the anger and social commentary but also the showmanship and androgynous image. He's my generation's Alice Cooper.
