I like the part after the "nanana" where it's the instruments doing the work!

I've been getting further into crust punk - some of the new bands are really fantastic - it's as heavy as any metal (many cross over into sludge territory), but a lot of it is as emotive as screamo. Here's some stuff:

Here's the band that Rob "The Baron" Miller from Amebix put together recently, along with a member of Neurosis:

I like a lot of crusty stuff too but my heart really belongs to screamo/skramz. Bands like Totem Skin (https://totemskin.bandcamp.com/) straddle both sub genres very well.

Here are two punk songs that I've recently discovered!

Found this one from watching the movie "SLC Punk"

Here's a clip of the movie for those of you who are curious!

Neighborhood Watch from Venice Beach, 1983

This was the best song on the entire album:

Here's a few more:

The Offenders, Killeen Texas, 1985, (Six years before Killeen got it's 15 Minutes of Fame as being the home of the Luby's Cafeteria Mass Shooting) Also, RIP Mikey Offender (2007) and Tony Offender (2012)

MDC, from when they were still in Texas, and hadn't moved to SF and gotten involved with Drugs. --Two songs in sequential order.

I always thought it was funny how those Texas bands like MDC, The Dicks, and Big Boys were all gay communists. I guess it just goes to show how much punk is a rebellion against one's surrounding environment.
