When receiving a gift, much of my kind
To flowers and chocolates is inclined.
Now that Valentine's Day
Isn't too far away
I'd rather a book, if you don't mind!

Reading a book is plainly absurd
When calls to dinner just are not heard.
But I like to think,
As water I drink,
That this explains me - thinly figured.

A candy valentine is dandy
Or a bouquet can be handy
Testifying clear desires
Of testosteronic fires
Heating up what's mostly randy.

Another attempt at a limerick reply,
three times before rhymes were in short supply.
Lost away down an unfollowed trail
my muse left me to fail.
but she's back this one works don't deny!

There once was a man who could scan,
His rhymes he would often aband.
Syllables count,
Sounds not a lot.
The beat is the real hidden heart.

but rythmically rhyming melodies drive me on to an ambiguous exit
and are messed up and wrong

Rhym'd "ducet" with "exit"? It's wrong.
For that you should really be hung.
