When I was a teen and a young adult I would say things that made everyone around me cringe all the time and not realize it. Nobody really teaches you how not to do this, you're supposed to just automatically know. :roll:

I guess I should call every guy I see handsome now, whether he is or not, or they'll have yet another reason to hate all women.

It’s creepy when strangers compliment me, especially since it’s not always too far removed from sexual harassment OR it reminds me of previous sexual harassment. Genuine compliments among friends are cool - as a giver or receiver and no matter the gender. My female friends have similar thoughts when it comes to this stuff.
