If members are interested in dating other members that's great, but I don't think we should be pressuring people to do so. I don't think that's appropriate.

Oh Stop! I'm half-kidding. If it did happen, it would be cool.

How does "I think it would be cool" equate to pressuring anybody?

Sly doesn't listen to me, anyway--he thinks I'm a damn Liberal!

Not a Damn one.

I would call myself somewhere between a half and a three-quarters Liberal.

Ah! In that case you would be a darn Liberal, not a damn Liberal.

You weren't the only one who commented on that though, and together with the comments of others on the subject it could be seen as pressuring. If anyone is going to develop a relationship we should let them do that at their own pace and on their own time. I just think egging them on when we have no idea if either is attracted to the other is inappropriate, especially in a thread where the OP is expressing feelings of insecurity about themselves. They don't need more pressure from others right now.

Obviously. Why would my thinking run counter to yours on this subject?

Sly: I'm just kidding, buddy. We're joking.

I think the main reason people kid around about slw and sly is because their screennames look similar, they really do look similar, it's kind of funny. That's not really a solid foundation for a relationship imo :p

By misleading do you mean making someone think you like them more than you do? Or something else, like people wanting a certain something. Or something else altogether, like maybe just not understanding each other and their intentions?

PS, I hope things with people at work being weird clears up for you :)

I guess any of it, but I mostly meant leading someone on romantically

Thank you. :)

It's ok, I kind of took it as a joke. :)

Part of me has completely resigned that even at my age il never meet someone, being an aspie and gay seems an impossible match, the best I can get is chatting for a while and then the "Lets just be friends" line and then we are just fb friends that never talk again.

As long as you've got an internet connection and a decent computer being a hermit is okay :p
