I miss a lovely man called R. I thought we had fallen in love. He said he loved me. I still love him but his love for me has died. I think he may be an Aspie. I did not realize at the time and got angry with him over stupid things and my anger has pushed him away. When we were together it was magical. I saw a future for us. We both did. And now he has withdrawn from me. My heart is breaking but I know that there is nothing more I can do. I am unwell right now and was admitted into hospital last week. I’m very frightened. He knows but won’t ask me how I am. It’s as if I no longer exist. I cry for the lovely man I have lost.

My first post...
I am truly sorry to hear that. I have the same situation. Well, its not as pronounced as yours, but when someone dosen't come out and tell you that they're aspie(either undiagnosed or they don't admit for whatever reason) it's so sad and confusing.

I miss my dignity. I miss my volition. Once again a woman has tried to subdue me, tried to take my freedom under the guise of love. I swore that I'd never again be a slave to romantic urges, not until the next time :x

I miss my first grade sweetheart Erika. She was so adorable - dark brown hair, pink glasses. And she was the sweetest girl i ever talked to. No other girl was ever that nice to me. I never even found out her last name. This is another reason I'm so depressed. I hope to God (if one even exists) that I find her again one day. Even if she's taken, just knowing I found her again will fill me with contentment.

I miss my middle school friends, Carlos and Julia. They were the first people that ever truly cared about my well being and didn't take everything "wrong" with me for granted. I am currently a sophomore at an arts school but it still feels like I just barely graduated eighth grade whenever I think about them. At that school, I still don't have anyone like that. Even at my Aspie social group not everyone is like that, although that could be an exception.

I badly miss my last girlfriend... also someone I met here who just straight up disappeared after I felt close to her. I don't understand people. I feel like you'd have to be sadistic to do that. I'm sort of tired of everything, tired of trying

My Aspie friend and my neighbor friend too. I haven't heard anything from my brother. Everyone just seems to be keeping to themselves.

I miss my 7th grade classmate, who I had no idea had leukemia. He felt nauseous in class, and, being a germophobe that I am, asked my teacher why he wasn't at home. She told me that he had leukemia, and my attitude was "nasty". How? A month after this, he was admitted to the hospital. I was nice enough to make him a funny card. Sadly, he passed away a few days later. I still feel guilty about what I said the month before, and let his parents know that I am extremely sorry for my overreaction. If I could only speak to that kid one last time...

Emp, read my words again and you will see that I have said nothing untruthful or misleading.

I DO think he has made a mistake, because Hale_bopp seems like a good person to talk to, and therefore I do not feel that she deserves to be mistreated or made to feel miserable.

It is jolly nice of you to re-write my text for me, and funnily enough I can empathise with your version. I do agree with it. However you are simply amending my STYLE in order to suit your own pedantic sense of logic. You've amended my words in order to say EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING IN THE FIRST PLACE but in a different way.

I can just about cope with that, but I'm really very f-cked off that you think that (because I haven't used the exact words you'd have used) I am somehow lying. You are confusing INTERPRETATION OF INTENT with right or wrong. They are not the same.

You will note that I write in a personal manner. This is because I am writing what I think, and as such my comments cannot be lies because I am honest to myself. I know I'm not always right, which is why I'll use words like "sometimes" or "maybe", or start sentences with "I think.." or "In my opinion..". This does not mean that my views are invalid. You do not have the right to put words into my mouth because you do not and cannot know what I am thinking.

I appreciate you style and way of thinking sociable hermit. Just different ways of expressing the same thing. I am very honest in my thinking too, and often can't help the way someone interprets my intent. I wonder if you you mind reading some of my topic posts and replying about what you honestly think. I can provide the names of topics if you agree. I miss a guy terribly and I think because of AS, misscommunication and emotions running high during our last conversation he will never talk to me again. I don't know if Aspies change there mind, this one seems very B/W like once he makes his mind up that is it. You have a wonderful day in the UK.

Guys, that's it. Cut it out. You've both made more than enough of a point.

Hermit, thank you for your contribution, I really appreciate it.

Emp, can you contribute to the original meaning of the thread? I've read quite a bit of your stuff, although I vanished / became largely inactive for a month, I don't recall you ever saying much about yourself beyond stating your opinion, a fact or your personal preferences in many areas. Is there someone you miss? Is it something you would admit with a simple yes or no? Or is there a broader story you might be willing to share? I'm quite curious to know.

Thank you phoenixjsu! I really admire the maturity you display . . . very insightful too.
