Often times, I need the comfort of imagining myself as a child held to it's mother's chest to calm down during my panic attacks, how would I go about asking a girlfriend to soothe me without sounding like a lustful pervert? Tis merely for the sense of safety and reassurance.

Would it be possible to wait 'till you're actually having a panic attack to ask? They'll probably be much more inclined to believe that your intentions are pure.

Seconded. Women won't find anything perverted about "Hold me."

either it is sexual... or it isn't. is it a comforting thing to you or a sexual thing? if it is a simple comforting thing, just ask to be held, as above. nothing weird about it!

This is the truth. I really see nothing wrong with just saying that. If your girlfriend would think it's perverted, you might want to question how well she knows you.

well, she is your girlfriend isn't she?
i dont think she will have any problems with this request, depending on how you ask, if you explain you can be calmed by being held closely, there is no perversion going on in the request.
