Many ugly people are extremely intelligent, and extremely gifted in many ways.

Do you find Stephen Hawking good-looking? I know at least two women who did......

It's easy to get caught up in the numbers and forget that you only really need one person to find you attractive to have a successful relationship, not the whole world.

[quote="kraftiekortie"And why can't you get into medical school? You have the logical sort of mind for it. You have an associative-type of intelligence.[/quote]At the moment I can't even get into a bachelor degree. I don't think I'd have the memory or the energy for medical school.

I'm a slow learner and med students have to be fast learners or else they won't be able to fit one day's schedule of learning into 24 hours.

I don't think I could handle the weed-out classes. I especially couldn't handle a medical residency, I don't have enough energy to work in a hospital for 36 hours straight, sleep for 4 hours and then work for another 36 straight hours.

The residency is the ultimate weed-out class. My poor coordination won't allow to to perform surgery. The only trait that would help me is that I have doctor's handwriting.

Now I'm going to be awake all night trying to think of brilliantly creative but ugly people. Just coming to mind is Michelangelo who had his nose broken after upsetting a fellow apprentice.

Of course, my mega obsession, Sir Thomas Wyatt, was a thoroughly handsome chap...

Which is mesningless if yiu never meet thst one person and everyone else finds you unattractive.
What good is it if the only woman who’d find me attractive lives in China.

Moes one person hung herself.

Beethoven wasn't exactly hot-looking. Neither was Chopin.

In the sciences, a guy like Carl Sagan, who was relatively good-looking, is an aberration.

How about Julia Child, for the ladies?

Beethoven lived in squalid apartments all his life.

High status? Hell no! He was a slob, and he didn't take baths.

Tonya Harding was a great skater. Do you think she is good-looking?

I challenge anybody here to Google "Jimmy Durante," and tell me whether he was good-looking. He was very famous in his time.

Or Danny Thomas.

I don’t consider that ugly. He has character, which is much more attractive than people who don’t.

That would explain why I got more dates after I got a higher paying job.

I don't need to google Jimmy Durante... he's the guy that found the lost chord!

not all residencies are created equal. depends on the field of medicine you choose. and digital is the new handwriting. about time, too.. and in amuuurica, the rule by and large, is no more than 24 straight hours on a resident's shift. go east, young man.
