Well, that looks like an incentive to get married to me.

And no matter how much housework I do right now, when I am married or in a long term relationship... I am sure that it'll be much more than I do now.

Best reasons NOT to get married:

1) Mothers in law

2) Slowly she will take over everything

3) You can't talk to the cute brunette three doors down anymore

4) The cost of divorce.

Marriage doesn't appeal to me really... not to say I don't want to be with someone though...

It wouldn't surprise me if those who marry, especially young, have a more traditional view of gender roles, and therefore married couples are more likely to have a husband/earner, wife/homemaker relationship. The news story is sparse on the details - it's almost impossible to control for political viewpoint, religious viewpoint, age of marriage, as well as earnings which apparently they did take into account. While these sorts of surveys can be vaguely interesting, I think you simply need to take your own relationships on an individual basis, see how the other person is going to act.
I do more housework than my wife, but then she earns a lot more than I do. It works for us, but I'd bet that this survey would tell you relationships like ours barely exist. It's all down to the individuals.

Unless you have a pre-existing agreement before you win. Each week we do two lines each and the agreement is that whoever's line wins gets to decide how the money is spent. So far our biggest win was just enough to pay for a trip to KFC so I won't be ordering the Harley yet.

Best reason to NOT get married:

There are simply too few people in the world that are worth committing your entire life and all of your assets to. Not to mention the exclusive rights to your sex drive. 99% of the world's people are only concerned with what they can get out of a person, not the person themselves, their feelings, or being connected to someone physically, spiritually, and emotionally. They are only concerned with power, control, and the acquisition of material wealth.

That’s whyIf you have a partner that understands and accepts you, is supportive of you in times of need, and is able to compromise with you so that you both can get what you want in life, instead of the all-too-common co-dependent, my-way-or-the-highway relationship, start praising God. You have no idea how lucky you really are.

I also agree with what that other guy said. There is a growing conservative trend amongst young people that make them want to have traditional, fundamental gender roles in a marriage or committed relationships. I don’t think that is good thing, for those interested in equality.

Marriage acts as a seal. A safety net so boys can be dickheads and it's harder to break up.

Just make sure if you have a live-in girlfriend (or boyfriend) that you get them to sign a claim that says that they will leave whenever you want them to. I've heard of cases where the man, who is paying for the lease or owns the home, tries to kick a girl out and she proves she knows something about squatters rights.
