How do you meet people?

I have no friends at all. Since I graduated from high school, I lost touch with all of them.
The only people I ever speak to are my family and the people I work with. It is maddening.
I want to meet people who listen to metal. I've never met anyone else who listens to metal in real life, except for briefly before/after a concert.

How do I meet people? I don't drink or smoke, and that seems to be a prime method of meeting people.

Once I've met people, how do I get them to hang out with me?

Truth is, I dont really meet people outside the internet anymore, I have nothing to give them.

I don't meet people, really, except online.

Do you have a hobby or something? You could find a group that participates in it and try meeting interesting people there.

I hardly ever meet people at all.

I did go to see someone who I met on the internet the other week, although the primary reason for that was to buy a modem from him.

Also got to know a few people when I was at scouts, but don't any more as I left (too old).

SO I am now on my own without meeting anyone.

AS is a f****n' pain in the ass.
