Currently my trip to the office (3 days a week) is...

Walk 1 mile to a train station (when possible i go via the fields and woods because its more quiet than walking along the roadside)
(30 minutes)

Then I ride an overland train into London
(40 minutes)

Walk to underground train station
(10 minutes)

Catch an underground train
(20 minutes)

Walk to office
(10 minutes)

Total time: 2.5 hrs, door-2-door, (I have around 40 mins waiting around)

Then i turn around and do it all in reverse to get home. Im lucky cause the other day I work is @ home so thats much quicker

Intercity train (50 mins)

Walk 1/2 mile from station to work (10 mins)

1 hour 45 mins altogether including being 5 mins early for train (in case!)

I drive in the left lane (4 mins)
I drive in the middle lane (1 min)
I drive in the bus lane* (3 mins)
I drive in the left lane (30 secs)
I drive in the right lane (5 mins)
I drive in the bus lane* (30 secs)
I drive in the only lane (10 mins)
I drive in the bus lane* (30 secs)
I drive in the right lane (5 mins)
I drive in the left lane (1 min)

*Before 0730 you can use the bus lanes.

Sometimes my approx 30 min journey can increase to 1 hour 30 min for no reason other than more cars on the road.

When I go into the office, it's a 15 minute subway ride, followed by a five minute walk. Otherwise, I work from home.

I get in the car, drive 32 miles, never usually seeing another car, park and walk across the street to my work. Takes about 30 minutes, if i forget to set the cruise longer as I am no speed ace.

My journey to work is about 3 minutes minutes of walking 8)

The longest regular journeys I've had to make in the past, though, were when I was going to university - first I had a 30 minute bus ride, a 20 minute train ride, and then a 30 minute walk two miles across the city. With waiting times for bus and train factored in it was usually about 2 hours altogether, but often trains would be delayed on the way home, leading to a missed bus and an extra hour of waiting at the bus station.

I did actually enjoy the half hour walk across the city, though. It kept me fit and healthy (especially when I had to rush to catch a train), and cities like that are rarely short on interesting things to occupy the eyes as you walk.

I live 4 miles from work.

We have no public transit past 4:30 p.m.

Therefore, I drive. Takes 35 minutes from front door to my desk.

I may look into riding bike to work this summer, but it's not the safest place.

Wow. Sometimes my arthritis barely lets me walk out to my old truck. But once I am there, it takes me a little over 10 minutes to drive diagonally from one corner of town to just outside the other where I walk another 100 feet and again sit down.

Formerly:
1 hr to 1.5 hrs of stop-and-go madness.
I would leave work happy and arrive home frazzled.

Currently:
moved 3 miles from work. 10 minute drive, 15 minute bus, or 30 minute bike, my choice.
I am a changed person - much happier. Definitely worth the hassle of moving.

I bike commute to work almost everyday via a bike trail and (relatively busy) city streets. I used to take the bus, but found it to be a hassle (sensory overload, unpredictability, etc.).

Time-wise...
To work: 35 min.
From work: 25 min.

3 days a week roll out of bed, turn on the computer and check my email. The other two may involve me driving 4 hours into a city (face-to-face meetings), staying over night and driving 4 hours back home the next day.
