1)....The Question?

"What puts you in a good and bad zoning space?"

2)....The Statement from Ghosthunter

Sound and the infinite zoning space wrote:

I am a at work today by 6:15am. The job is the
restraunt. The Z-tags for daily sales were done.
The Z-tags for weekly sales results were
completed. The payroll Z-tagged and faxed.
The supervisor I don't like arrives by 6:45am
and says nothing. all is at peace and ideal
circumstances for sound and the creation of
infinite zoning space.

It is 8:00 and I washed the dishes, helped her
set up without incident. Eat a good breakfast
without it tasting like cardboard(via-read my
"weekend" forum). Stress is not present at
the moment and a perfect time for sound and
the creation of infinitezoning space.

It is 8:15am and they play on Musak a 69'-71'
era song that includes the phrasing "wanting to
get to know you-Hmm!-Hmmm!" I non-shuluntly
listen and eat breakfast, then WHAM! the deep
early 70's string(prolonged downplay of the strings)
and WHAMM! I find myself gazing at the shining
cookie wrapper that are having florencent light
glare upon them. Mind you, this is a peaceful gaze.

If I want a negative gaze, go to my statement in
the "Famous Phrases" forum and you will find it.
Anyways, needless to say, if I listen to either
2 of the altimate "Zoning" albums(negative)
for one who is autistic, it would be the Moody Blues
"To Our Children's Children" ©69'(the whole thing)
and Pink Floyds "The Wall" in parts(see forum-
Famous Phrases for actual parts).

I find that Metallica's S&M strings definely put me
there halfway through that album. This is neither
negative, nor postive. I would also suggest try,
for a positive gaze zone the Moody Blues "In search
of the lost chord" ©68' or Mike Pinder's "My Song"
in the Moody Blues "Every Good Boy Deserves a
Favor"©71'.

The point is I never think about gaze or zoning
spaces, but it is recently I have paid more attention
to what causes them. For me it is the dramatically
pause slow strings of the early 70's as a possible
source as well as other possiblities.

Sincerely,
Ghosthunter

3)....Repeating the Question.

Oh do you mean like, just beeing in my own world, and forgetting that I am really there, and staring out of the window.. In that case I would say looking at trees is very peaceful, and falling snow.
That puts me in a good zooning space:)

Yes, that is correct, forgive the colorful detail
that is how I express.

Good zoning space:

Staring at lights or certain color hues. My Favorite color is a color I call "nickelodeon blue", it's a super saturated blue that appears on the TV, and is only produced by Sony Broadcast cameras. But I call it "nickelodeon blue" because I first ran into it watching nickelodeon back in the early 90's when they still produced live action programming.

Another good zoning space:

Laying in bed and creating complex electrical or mechanical machines all with in my head. Then visualizing them at work.

Bad zoning space:

Perservating on bad experiences. I get stuck in rut big time when I re-live in my mind something bad that happened to me. Even worse yet, those events don't get absorbed into my psyche for a really long time so I go through the same emotions all over again.

With me it just happens. Nothing in particular seems to trigger it. Whenever I catch myself zoned out I try to determine exactly where I'm staring before I move my gaze away, but there never seems to be anything consistent. Even if there's a shiny/flashing object in my field of view I'm probably looking into empty space instead.
I do it when it's quiet or noisy. Doesn't seem to matter.
I think it's more a matter of how tired I am than what sensory experience I'm having at the time.

I voted for 90s 00 music. Well, I guess that makes me feel good. Ehm, what is Nickelodeon Blue, and where can I find it? I watch Nickelodeon everyday...
Believe it or not, in a matter of days/weeks, I will be able to have the midnight sun with me every night and day. I cant believe I made it through the winter. Ill just say one thing; never again..

My natural state seems to be 'zoned out' ~ I seem constantly drawn to a state where I am staring into space.

I am at peace when I allow it to take over me. It is a strain to fight it but I need to sometimes in order to function in the world.

There are some things however that I can't resist:

The sound of keys being cut or shoes being repaired.

The sound of running water.

The sound of footsteps on gravel.

The sound of wind in the trees.

The sound of wood pigeons.

The hum of my computer fan.

I don't zone very often. But if I do, it's most likely caused by bordom. Silence did when I was little, but now it makes me paranoid.

Just being at home for me. I come home and I sit here in front of my computer until I get bored. Then I might move into the other room to watch TV or play video games. If it is nice outside I might go for a walk* in the forest and listen to music on my CD player.

* By walk I meen run**.

** By run I meen sprining across fallen trees, the walls of gorges/raviens, and make shift bridges like a ninja.
