Whenever someone asks me a question verbally, I mix up the information in my head so it seems like something else.
For example, my teacher asked me which between two certain boxes would the water fill up quicker.
My mind translated it to:
Which has the smallest height?
Another example was to find the 100th odd number
and my mind translated that to:
Find the odd number nearest to 100.
Why do I just mix up all the information given? It makes it harder to answer questions quickly because my brain just jumbles it all up.
I also have troubles processing verbal information..
I have a language receptor disorder? Maybe its part of that?

Neurologists call it semantic paraphrasia. It can develop from childhood or from a brain trauma. It seems it can be unlearned with intensive practice and training, so there is hope. Good luck.

I, too, have my own weird backwards thinking. But when it comes to problem solving, it's actually helped me a lot. So it has it's pros and cons, at this point in my life... Maybe yours does, too?
