Remember - this is a LOW dosage, 5mg to start (maybe even LESS), partially because it has so many potential side-effects with other medications and overall can be dangerous unless the regime is kept to explicitly, partially it can cause the OPPOSITE desired effect and/or make it WORSE, and partially because that should be all that's needed. From my web-based research, and I have contacted one researcher about this so far (no reply back yet), it seems treatment of anxiety this way is still largely unproven and is considered the exception rather than the rule. Other anti-anxiety drugs should be tried first, like Paxil / Paroxetine, if you haven't already. This is for us who have been treatment-resistant.
And I am obviously not a doctor this is not medical advice blah blah blah
Unfortunately there's even less research on treatment of symptoms related to adult Asperger's than treatment of symptoms of adult ADHD (the latter of which is where a lot of this research comes from)
