I'm not a biblical scholar, so don't quote me on this, but wasn't Jesus a rabbi at some point, and isn't it true that a rabbi is required by Jewish custom to have a wife?

In Jesus' time, Judaism was controlled by priests till the Romans leveled the Temple, destroyed Jerusalem, and deported most of their population. Only after did the Rabbis (which I believe only means teacher) become the official religious authorities, and bound by rules.

I see. Thanks. :)

I choose 'something else' in the poll. I don't think we have enough information to know. The bible never mentions Jesus's wife or him being married. Then again, it never mentions he was unmarried either. Inconclusive.

Actually, I recall him saying he had been celibate, as John the Baptist had been. Though his disciple Peter was described as having a mother-in-law, which would not be possible if he were not married.

Back in 2007, when I first came to this place, I started I think a similiar thread.
I could've been called 'trollish' you could say. I even included a pic of Black Jesus with
white John the apostle uncomfortably close to one another - see, back then, wrongplanet
was a place of extreme polarization. I sort of miss it.

Ah, when humans mix enough, polarization does go away, when not censored as such, as it has been before here, per muted humans, as such.

And truly, any REAL enlightened AWAKENED human being only finds their place in balance with Mother Nature True and no THING more.

The same pattern is seen throughout human history, whether it is Confucius, Buddha, Jesus, or Muhammad; some folks in their tribal ways almost always seem to elevate their heroes to GODS, instead of men or women, WHO ever may be the 'case study', as such.

And as is RECENTLY the case in FRANCE and satirical writers, it only does a service to bring back the truth that 'they' the so-called GODS are only human with all the BAGGAGE that DOES go along with THAT.

SO yeah, if the real man Jesus could reAlly come back alive, he would probably be happy that you call him a 'queer' and bring him BACK down to real life in how folks truly name folks who are Awakened and Enlightened, per Jesus or Joe the Plumber, whomever that 'QUEER' might be.
