Before it was an LGBTQ symbol, it was a reminder that God wouldn’t wipe everyone out again through a deluge.

I prefer our modern take on it.

His wife got pregnant by King David, so his highness sent him to the front lines during war to kill him off before he could find out about it. Tough times.

On a brighter note, Kind David was awful sorry, earning him the accolade of writing a fair amount of Psalms.
