While I must admit that most of the new episodes are not as funny as the old ones, The Simpsons still remains my 2nd favourite TV Show. :) And to me, almost all of the old episodes remain classics. :D

Seasons 1-10 = These are probably my favourite seasons, and in my opinion the funniest
Seasons 11-12 = Still quite as good, they are also funny
Seasons 13-15 = They have a number of classic episodes, but not as many
Seasons 16-20 = I still like these, but a lot of these episodes are nowhere near as funny in my opinion

I like The Simpsons. I used to watch them more few years ago though. I don't watch them very much now.

I haven't seen enough of that to judge it yet. Though I must say it does seem to have improved since it went to HD. :)

20 seasons? Are they still making this show? I haven't watched an episode of the Simpsons since the late 90s, and it was already quite bad at the time. The Simpsons hasn't been funny since season 3 or 4.

Yeah, they are still making it. So far it is going to have a Season 22 too.

I loved the movie and have some of the first 10 seasons on dvd, but I think the last episode I saw that I actually liked was one from season 10 or 11, where homer loses his thumb, and lisa is late to school on the day of her science project, and bart and milhouse get involved with the mob. it kind of has a pulp fiction feel, and at the end, a monkey said "this episode made no sense." I've turned it on the past few years and just shut it off, feeling sorry for the show. Like someone said, it makes sense that the old writers came back for the movie.

I love The Simpsons but can't watch anything beyond Season 8 because that is when the quality starts to deteriorate.

I don't like the new series as much as the old ones, which were animation classics.

Nowadays it's trying too hard to be Family Guy, losing all its family appeal in the process. I believe that some of the most recent episodes have been passed 15 for DVD here.

And season 23.

Did anyone see the episode where Krusty fell in love with that princess and nearly married her?
Is he gonna have a girlfriend from now on?

I like watching The Simpsons when I get the chance, but I'm not an avid fan. My favourite episodes are:

1) the one where Bart tries to jump Springfield Gorge
2) the one where Homer becomes obese so he can work from home
3) the one where Homer becomes a hippy
4) the one where Homer becomes the local waste management officer (U2 cameo)
5) the one that details Homer's courtship of Marge (High School Prom flashback)
6) the one where Homer is accused of sexual harassment

Yeah and that's not good. F.G is controversial in some places because of it's blatant disregard for what offends. I love it being English and all I get the humour for what it is humour. The Simpson's makers are taking a massive risk trying to emulate F.G and if they do then I suspect it will lose some of the more die hard fans. I personally have not watched it since about 15 so that's a good fifteen years ago I only happened to make my own thread up due to the fact of seeing two bad shows yesterday and it showed how badly it had aged. F.G does offensive but funny well and The Simpson's should stay off that road for the sake of it's legacy!
