I am just going to spew these out, for what they may be worth:

#1: It is unethical, immoral, and should be criminalized that the media can and do spout predictions of election outcomes WHILE VOTING IS STILL GOING ON. There should be not only the no canvassing within X feet of the polls, but blackout on election news until the morning after. Do we have to turn it into the Oscar's plus an Idol show?

#2: It is unethical, immoral and plain stupid that parties and interest groups and people buy into the "principle", DO NOT support a candidtate, however qualified, unless you are SURE he can win. This is a sure recipe for pushing advertisable fluff - human Twinkies - instead of potential leaders.

Thing is, a leader - a real human being - might not be as amenable to being moved by the guys with the video game controllers.

That is it. Them is them.

From what I recall....

Legally, they cannot do stuff like that in areas where the polls are still open.

Problem is that communication is such that people in areas where polls are still open can get info from where polls are closed and now counting. The best would be to prohibit speculating results until the last poll closes on the west coast.
