Whenever I use my right hand for something (computer mouse for example), my left hand gets bored and I used to constantly twirl my thumb ring but I inevitably ended up flinging it across the room on multiple occasions so I was looking for something better to fidget with. I looked at spinning rings which seemed like the perfect solution for me but then I somehow came across a toy called Tangle. It's hard to describe but it's kind of like a plastic loop of string - you can twist and turn it in many ways and it's really quite fun. I also think of it like a solid, circular stream of water because it kind of flows like water. I know these are terrible descriptions so here's a link: www.tanglecreations.com. I got a Tangle Jr and it's the perfect size to play with in one hand and it's now with me constantly - it's hard to put down! I also play with it in both hands when watching a movie or learning German because it really helps me concentrate when I have something for my hands to do.

What objects or toys do you like to fidget with? - or would that be considered a stim? I don't know.

I like to fidget with a small cross, that I've found in the parking lot of the soup kitchen, that I volunteer at, a couple Tuesdays ago.

I guess in a way, my lizard could be a fidget toy. Cuddling, nuzzling, snuggling and petting her are all stims. I like to sniff her as well but normal people don't sniff their pets.

I like a komboloi, the Greek worry beads that look a bit like Catholic prayer beads:

Mc Donald's happy meal toys or Kinder Surprise toys. Or my torch, pens, tweezers. Whatever is on my computer desk.

I always fidget with something. Not just my hands and feet, but my arms and legs get pretty bored. Sometimes my whole self does, and I must rock back and forth, or sit in a hair that turns, and just be going from left to right, right to left.

I'm a righty fidgeter, I like to spin my knife around, open/close it, and just rub the metal on the clip part.

That or a stick/bokken works really well for virtually all of my stim urges.

Oh! I thought it was normal LOL. I pick up one of my many cats and sniff them right away LOL
Who am I kidding, though- I know I'm not "normal"!
