How early or late did you start to talk?

9 months for basic words, 1 year for simple sentences. I could hold a decent 5-year-old level conversation at two.

There's a funny story to that one too. When my little sis came along, my parents would flip if anyone tried to get her to talk early, because they couldn't get me to shut up.

I said my first word at 9 months (well, my mum is still wondering whether it was a word or a sound).
Sentences at 5 and a half, so I had a few delays. I had speech therapy in infant's school.

Full adult conversation at three, with a lot of expressive hand movements, which the aunts thought was adorable and never stopped telling me about.

Quite early. I had terribly good memory and I repeated everything I heard. I repeated Daycare nannies' dialogues (and my Mum knew every secret  ) and dialogues from Lady and the Tramp, cartoon movie about two dogs, I loved it. But I didn't only repeated, it was possible to talk with me a little. When I was 1,5 I learned my first sentence in English How do you do?

mom said I was born singing and vaccinated with a phonograph needle. (which was her way of saying) I was babbling and mimicking songs and commercials and jingles so early in my childhood they were more irritated/interested that I stop making sounds than when I started making them.

Four years old because I had fluid in my ears for two years and I was almost deaf.

I talked before I walked. I think around 9 months. Reading/writing are my interests.
