I used to post over at a popular (well it was, isn't anymore) forum/social networking site called nexopia. Pretty much what I've learned about Canada from posting there

1. Canadian girls are hot
2. You can legally import cars over 15 years old from foreign countries (like Japan) (as opposed to 25 for the US)
3. Their money isn't just green, it comes in as many colors as monopoly money
4. Summers in the Vancouver area are surprisingly hot
5. Most gearheads up in Canada have 2 cars thanks to snow 1 FWD/AWD "winter beater" and their summer sports car
6. They have a women's sport called ringette which is loosely related to hockey
7. Vancouver is the drug capital of Canada
8. Universal healthcare, worse wait times for healthcare

I'm sure I could think of more if I thought harder.

I go to University in Ottawa, Ontario (though I do come from the States originally). Canada is a large, diverse country (smaller in size only to Russia) and, depending where in Canada you settle, you will have different opportunities and challenges from those who settle elsewhere. In all, Canada is a great, peaceful nation with helpful and courteous people. Id recommend visiting this website (an about . com site).

If you have other questions, feel free to send me a PM.

Prosper, and I wish you luck in Canada

It's very peaceful in Canada. There's also a lot of freedom.
