Paternoster elevators. Every so often i get a bit obsessed with them. I think there are only two left working in the UK. I deeply feel the need to have a go on one before they're gone forever.

I was working on some finger puppets when I was at the flea market. Some old man gave me a dirty look and said to his wife, "That's all Germans ever do is work." I put away my work and tried to look as Canadian as possible without sacrificing my favourite hat.

If my anxiety has an animal form, it's an owl.
A very observant and sharp owl.

When it came to the basics of safety, it's very competent to a point that I would lean to it.
To a point that it gave me degrees of confidence even.

In social needs, it knew better of it's limit. It knew better not to overreact.
In moral and emotional needs, however... It's a bit... Eh.


And I have a very different set of fears.
Very different set of priorities.
And just as loopsided as my cognitive profile.

Not really. It's a type of elevator that goes around constantly. One side goes up the other goes down, but it's just a continuous loop of compartments travelling around. If you stay in it you'll go up over the top and come down the other side. They never stop moving so you have to jump in and out as they go past, and there's no doors. This makes them extremely efficient but also incredibly dangerous, hence why they aren't used any more.
