I'm currently studying to get into the gaming industry, but sometimes during the days I think far ahead in the future like where I'll be in the industry, sometimes I can have a little problem living in the moment damn its sometimes a really good feeling, and sometimes it can be a little annoying.

I just think its really odd how it all comes into my mind sometimes.

Oh.

I thought you were talking like thousands or millions of years.

All-tough it also happens that I think far ahead in the future about space travel and where humans are with new and advanced tech.

I have trouble thinking more than a month into the future a lot of the time. I mean I am aware of it and know things will happen but it often feels too abstract to be meaningful.

I usually blame ADHD for this.

I do have brief moments where I think too far into my own future. I become panicked and have to return to the present.

I prefer to live for today.

Usually I don't do it very well. Occasionally I'll get some intuitive glimpse of what the future will bring in some respect, and so far that's usually been right (which is no different than being pretty sure if you drop something it's going to fall, so don't anyone get any ideas). But that's very different from looking into the future on purpose as a habit, and being any good at it, which I'm not. Currently I'm hoping I'm wrong about what some of my instincts are telling me about the future within my natural lifetime.

I am aware of events more than a month in the future, it's just hard to take that information into account when planning, thinking, etc. It is disruptive, though.
