Everyone can dream, everyone can hope, everyone can wish, everyone can believe...why can't I? I have hope for nothing, I have faith in nothing, every time I start to believe in something, I am let down and my faith is shattered into a thousand tiny pieces. I just want something to help carry me through this night that seems endless...I'm not sure anymore (FYI, not suicidal) *sigh* Oh well, I needed to vent to someone, thanks for reading this if you did. Tell me, what do you believe in, what carries you into the unknown?

Not sure, still hoping to find it.
You are still young, you have tons of time to find it too.

The best way to find something is to not look for it.

the thought that i will eventually matriculate into the bright world above this one [if i have completed and comprehended enough of my life lessons], keeps me going. if i ditched my classes too soon i'd only have to do the make-up work in a future lifetime, and i want to get this lifetime [IOW this particular set of life lessons] good and overwith NOW, never to return to it.

What helped me get through my darker times and really give me the urge to change my life was wanting to begin my future carrier--being an author. Up until I started actively writing my book series, I wouldn't do much to change my life and would foolishly just sit around hoping for something to come to me and make things better. You don't need to have dreams or faith about something you can't see or contact. Focus on something that you like and work at it. While much of the time I was writing my first book I wasn't really spending that much time with others, it gave me hope and something to work towards to make things better.

I've found that the most effective helping hands are attached to my own wrists.

Wishing is a waste of ... what is it that wishes are made of, anyway?

Nothing significant, I'd wager.

I don't make wishes anymore. I do something about the problems that pop up in my life.

You can hope!

Well, basically:
I have a will to live, for myself, and occasionally for others
My religion says that I have a purpose, and I have a testimony of that
If I was supposed to be dead, there were many chances...there's gotta be some reason I am sticking around.
